Use of cookies

Our website uses exactly two cookies of our own. Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. We do not use local storage. Third-party cookies are only used if you consent to the Google Maps location map (category External content); all other content of the website is delivered from our own servers.
Overview of the cookies
pemc_consent_v1
- Category: Necessary
- Purpose: stores your decision in the cookie banner, the version of the banner and a random, pseudonymous identifier for the consent log
- Lifetime: 12 months
- Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR
pemc_session_id
- Category: Statistics, only with your consent
- Purpose: random identifier used to group several visits from the same browser in the reach measurement
- Lifetime: 30 days
- Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent)
Google cookies (google.com)
- Category: External content, only with your consent
- Purpose: set by Google as soon as the embedded Google Maps location map is loaded (for example NID to recognise the browser)
- Lifetime: up to six months; we have no access to these cookies
- Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent)
Categories
- Necessary: without this cookie we could not store your cookie choice and would have to ask again on every page view. It therefore cannot be deselected.
- Statistics: reach measurement with the analytics software Umami on our own server. This category is switched off by default and only becomes active if you consent to it.
- External content: the embedded Google Maps location map. Before you consent you only see a preview image from our server; the map loads only once you agree (in the banner or directly above the map).
Consent and withdrawal
On your first visit, the website shows a cookie banner. "Necessary only" and "Accept all" are designed as equal options; closing the banner does not count as consent. If the categories change, the banner appears again.
You can view, change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. A withdrawal takes effect for the future: the cookie pemc_session_id is deleted, the reach measurement ends and the location map is no longer loaded. Cookies already set by Google can be deleted in your browser. To be able to demonstrate your choice, we keep a consent log; details can be found in the privacy policy (section Cookies and consent).
Reach measurement with Umami
Umami is an open source analytics software that runs entirely on our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties. Umami stores no complete IP addresses. Visits are counted by means of a hash value that changes daily and can no longer be attributed once the day has ended. The data collected covers pages viewed, referrer, browser type, device type, screen size, language and country. If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" signal, no measurement takes place even with consent. Statistics data is deleted after 14 months.
Managing cookies in the browser
You can view, delete or block cookies at any time in the settings of your browser. If you delete the cookie pemc_consent_v1, the cookie banner appears again on your next visit.
